UN Women has prepared four reports of the Secretary-General for this item on the following topics: Intensification of efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against women (A/69/222); Trafficking in women and girls (A/69/224); Intensifying global efforts for the elimination of female genital mutilations (A/69/211); and Measures taken and progress achieved in follow-up to and implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly (A/69/182). These reports will serve as basis for the discussion in the Committee, and will provide inputs to the resolutions that are expected to be adopted thereon.
