The third call for applications to the Regional Fund to support women’s and feminist organizations and movements is open
The Regional Fund to Support Women’s and Feminist Organizations and Movements is issuing its third call for grant applications aimed at women’s and feminist civil society organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The deadline for applications is October 12.

The Regional Fund is an initiative that aims to support women’s and feminist organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean by financing projects that seek to contribute to the achievement of gender equality, economic and physical autonomy, and decision-making power for women, as well as the guarantee of their rights in the region, within the framework of the Regional Gender Agenda and in coordination with the Mechanisms for the Advancement of Women.
In its first call for proposals, which ran from November 23, 2021, to January 24, 2022, the Regional Fund received a total of 258 applications from 23 countries in the region. The first grants, totaling USD 175,600, were awarded to organizations that met, among other requirements, the final filter of two specific criteria: “Impact and reach in the community and feminist movement” and “ Effective focus on strengthening the organization.” The second edition ran from November 30, 2023, to January 30, 2024, receiving a total of 1,034 applications from 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, demonstrating the relevance of this type of initiative and the increased visibility of this fund.
The deadline to apply for this third edition is October 12. This time, applications must be submitted via an online form (click here). This will be the only means of application. Applications sent by any other means or after the deadline will not be accepted.
