UN Women Chile, through the programme Tu Oportunidad - Second Chance Education, has sought to develop a program for the economic empowerment and social and cultural integration of migrant and refugee women from Afghanistan. This multisectoral initiative was made possible through the inter-agency collaboration of UNHCR and ECLAC and the support of the Afghan-Chilean Cultural Institute Foundation and the Ascend Athletics Foundation as members of civil society.

Within the framework of the joint program of UN Women and the International Labour Organization (ILO) "Promoting decent employment for women through policies of inclusive growth and investments in care economy", UN Women in Argentina, in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Public Policies (CIEPP), has conducted a study in the province of Santa Fe estimating the fiscal effort of investing in public policies to reduce deficits in meeting care demands, and projecting the employment that would be generated as a result of this investment under three possible scenarios (minimum, medium, and maximum) depending on the coverage that the Provincial Government aims to achieve.
