Evaluation strategy

The UN Women Independent Evaluation Service prepares an Evaluation Strategy, including the plan for corporate evaluations, decentralized workUN coherence activities and national evaluation capacities. It is a results-based framework to strengthen the evaluation function at UN Women in the context of the Evaluation Policy and the UN Women Strategic Plan. It guides managers and evaluation specialists across the entire organization.

The Plan is guided by a Theory of Change (ToC) that aims to strengthen the institutional capability to better perform and deliver expected results according to the Evaluation Policy. It seeks to strengthen senior managers’ ability to demand and use evaluation, and enhance the ability of evaluation specialists to deliver high-quality evaluations.
