The Progress of women in Colombia 2018: transforming the economy to guarantee rights

This national chapter for Colombia of the global flagship report "Progress of the World’s Women 2015-2016: Transforming economies, realizing rights" presents official socio-economic indicators, thanks to a partnership with the National Department of Statistics (DANE), and includes an analysis of scenarios of the current situation for women in the economy. Based on these figures, economic policy recommendations are established that are aimed at promoting productivity and economic growth in a sustainable development agenda with inclusion and equality to take full advantage of female Colombian human resources. This will support Colombia to "not to leave anyone behind" in its economic development, as established in the 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development and the ODS.
