– The Haitian political landscape reached a new milestone last month with the launch of the National Symposium on Women’s Engagement in the Political Transition. The 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) delivered today robust commitments by UN Member States to strengthen financing and institutions to eradicate women’s and girls’ poverty. The purpose of this event was to discuss new approaches, illustrate the practices and criticisms promoted, and identify innovative cooperation practices and their achievements, in addition to giving visibility to the importance of cooperation for achieving the SDGs, especially a substantial advance in the women's rights agenda.

Still, progress has been much less than expected, and, seven years before 2030, it is necessary to rethink the way in which they are implemented.
