Call for Applications - UN Women's Civil Society Advisory Group for Latin America and the Caribbean

The Regional Office of UN Women for the Americas and the Caribbean, launches a call for proposals to renew the regional membership of the Civil Society Advisory Group (CSAG), an advisory group established at a global, regional and national level to facilitate effective, continuous and structured consultations between civil society and UN Women, with the objective of advising and advocating for the establishment of policies and programs, as well as promoting sustainable alliances to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women.

 

The CSAG is a strategic and substantive network of eminently qualified civil society people with diverse experience and knowledge about the priority areas of UN Women. The CSAG have a double and complementary role: as an advisory group to UN Women and as a legal platform to advance the gender equality agenda. In its advocacy role, CSAG is a dynamic resource for the promotion of innovative initiatives, ideas, strategies and public policy. In its advocacy role, the CSAG plays a vital political role in advancing the shared objectives of promoting gender equality, the rights of women and girls and their empowerment.
