In a high-level dialogue on inclusion for the recovery and economic empowerment of women, Ms. Vaeza stated that the transformation of society requires political will, budget, and societal will: "There can be no sustainable economic recovery without the incorporation of women. It is impossible without macroeconomic and fiscal policies which include a gender lens and place women at the center."
She highlighted the need to eliminate discriminatory laws in the region, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. She also emphasized that "care systems create employment, quality employment, which will allow self-financing of the systems, employment that is going to generate taxes and employment that will also allow a compound effect of women being able to work in addition to having job creation in caregivers through care systems."
