UN Women participates in meeting of the McCann Worldgroup leaders of Latin America and the Caribbean

Every two years McCann Worldgroup in Latin America and the Caribbean gathers the leaders of 21 markets in which it operates in the region in a meeting that aims to nurture the highest level team with the strategic vision of the company and discuss the relevant industry issues that result in strategies to ensure business growth and sustainability.
This year one of the main guests was Maria-Noel Vaeza Regional Director of UN Women for Latin America and the Caribbean, who invited the advertising industry to continue working on the elimination of gender stereotypes in communications "advertising is a great ally to help us in this cultural change. This is an excellent time to end the negative stereotypes that limit women and still present obsolete masculinities, partnerships with companies like McCann Worldgroup gives us the opportunity to change the conversation, rewrite messages and put an end to discrimination. "
